Vitamin A Palmitate

Incorporate into the oil phase of emulsions or add as the final ingredient during cool-down below 40°C to preserve activity. Miscible in oils; no heating required but stable up to 80°C short-term. Store refrigerated and protect from air, heat, and light.

• Solubility: Soluble in: oils (vegetable/mineral), fats, hydrocarbons, ether, chlorinated hydrocarbons, alcohol (slightly). Dispersible in: oils.
• Processing Temperature: Add at: cool-down below 104°F / 40°C.
• Heat tolerance: brief up to 140°F / 60°C.
• Avoid: prolonged high heat, light, oxygen.
• Melting Point / Form: 82-84°F / 28-29°C (viscous liquid; crystallizes below room temp)
• Recommended Phase: Oil phase (cool-down), Cool-down phase (post-emulsion, below 104°F / 40°C)
• Recommended pH: Stable across pH 3-8
