Option 1: Water-Based Serums and Toners

Dissolve at 0.1% to 0.5% in the water phase, keeping the finished pH below 6 and pairing with a complementary preservative for full-spectrum coverage.

Option 2: Emulsified Creams and Lotions

Add at 0.1% to 0.5% to the water phase, confirming the finished pH sits in the effective acidic range.

Option 3: Hydrosols and Mists

Incorporate at 0.1% to 0.3% into aqueous mists, ensuring full dissolution and an appropriately acidic pH.

Option 4: To Add to a Finished Base

To add Potassium Sorbate to a finished cosmetic product, pre-dissolve the powder in a small amount of cosmetic water before stirring it thoroughly into the base. Carefully measure the powder and the base to maintain a 0.1% to 0.5% concentration. Slowly add the liquid mixture to the finished base while stirring vigorously, then double-check the final pH to ensure it sits safely within the 4.5 to 5.0 range.
