Option 1: Leave-On Hair Serum

Add at 2% to 5% into the water phase of a leave-in styling serum to support a smooth, conditioned feel and film-forming slip on the hair surface. Incorporate during cool-down below 40 degrees C for best results.

Option 2: Hydrating Facial Toner

Stir into a water-based toner at 1% to 3% to lend a soft, moisturized skin feel and a light, cushioned finish. Adjust the final pH into the 4.0 to 7.0 range as needed.

Option 3: Rinse-Off Body Wash

Use at 1% to 4% in a surfactant body wash to add a conditioning, smooth after-feel on rinse. Add during the cool-down phase and mix gently to avoid excess aeration.

Option 4: To Add to a Finished Base

To add hydrolyzed wheat protein to a finished cosmetic product, first make sure your base has cooled below 104°F (40°C), since this water-soluble ingredient is heat-sensitive. Blend it in at a typical use rate of about 1% to 5%, stirring gently but thoroughly until it is fully and evenly incorporated. Because it dissolves readily in water, no pre-dissolving is usually needed, though you may thin it with a little cosmetic water for easier dispersion into thicker bases. After mixing, confirm the finished product is homogeneous and check that the pH stays within its stable range of 4.0 to 7.0.
