Emulsifying Wax NF is a nonionic emulsifier blend of fatty alcohols and ethoxylated fatty alcohols designed to create stable oil-in-water emulsions in creams, lotions, conditioners, and other personal care products. It provides reliable emulsification, contributes to a smooth and consistent texture, and offers a pleasant skin feel in finished formulations. Recognized under the National Formulary (NF) monograph, it meets cosmetic specifications and works well with a wide variety of oils, butters, and active ingredients.

Ingredient Information

Incorporate into the oil phase and heat to 65–75 °C (150–170 °F) until fully melted. Combine with the heated water phase and mix until a stable emulsion is formed. Compatible with most anionic, cationic, and nonionic ingredients.
