This extra coarse white crystalline sodium chloride is produced by the solar evaporation of seawater from the Great Salt Lake. The salt crystals are refined by washing with clean saturated brine to remove surface impurities drained of excess moisture, dried and screened to size. 

Coarse Solar Salt is naturally derived from evaporated seawater and contains a variety of trace minerals. Solar Salt is used primarily as a water softener and is commonly used in bath salts and body scrubs—offering a coarse texture that is compatible with a variety of anhydrous formulations. It’s a great addition to bath products to help create a luxurious bath experience.
