Cetearyl Alcohol

Incorporate into the heated oil phase (melt at approximately 54°C/129°F) of emulsions or add to the hot water phase. Functions as a non-gelling thickener and co-emulsifier, especially effective at levels under 2% for emulsion stability; suitable for anhydrous products like body butters. No specific pH requirements. 

• Solubility: Soluble in: oils, ethanol, isopropanol. Dispersible in: hot water, propylene glycol, glycerin.  
• Processing Temperature: Add at: 129°F / 54°C (melted). Heat tolerance: 482°F / 250°C. Avoid: none., 
• Melting Point / Form: 49–59°F / 49–59°C (49–56°C cetyl, 56–59°C stearyl). 
• Recommended Phase: Oil phase (heated) 
• Recommended pH: Stable across pH 3–10
