Castor Jelly is a 100% plant derived, semi-solid alternative to petrolatum, made from a blend of highly refined Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil and Hydrogenated Castor Oil. It offers a rich, occlusive texture with excellent skin barrier support and a smooth, glossy finish. Ideal for use in lip balms, ointments, salves, and water-free butters, Castor Jelly provides moisture retention and long-lasting emolliency without the use of petroleum-derived ingredients. It’s well-suited for naturally derived, vegan, and sustainability-focused product lines.

Product Information

Blend directly into the oil phase of anhydrous formulations. Compatible with hot process systems. May be used as a one-to-one replacement for petrolatum in many balm and salve applications. If needing to melt down, can melt up to 87℃ (188℉), miscible in oil by warming up and not soluble in water.
