Carrot Seed Oil is a cold-pressed plant-derived oil obtained from the dried seeds of Daucus carota sativa, also known as wild carrot. Known for its rich, earthy scent and golden to amber hue, this oil is often used in skin and hair care formulations for its emollient and skin-conditioning properties. Naturally containing fatty acids and minor levels of carotenoids, it supports softness, barrier conditioning, and is commonly used in facial oils, creams, balms, and scalp treatments, providing a wonderful glow to the skin, or shine to the hair. Carrot Seed Oil is often used in creams, balms, facial oils, and hair care products where a lightweight, conditioning oil is desired. It offers excellent oxidative stability and a naturally earthy aroma, which tends to mellow when blended into a finished product. It is a popular choice in skin and hair care formulations where a nourishing yet non-heavy oil is appropriate.

This is not to be confused with carrot seed essential oil.
