Incorporate into the oil phase of emulsions. Add below 40°C to preserve activity. Oil-soluble; pre-mix with carrier oils if needed for uniform dispersion.

Option 1: Facial Oils & Oil Serums

Use at 0.05-0.5% in anhydrous facial oils and oil serums, pre-mixed into a carrier oil for even dispersion and added below 40 degrees Celsius. Oil-soluble and imparts a natural reddish tint at higher levels.

Option 2: Balms & Anhydrous Blends

Incorporate at 0.05-0.5% into oil balms and butters during cool-down below 40 degrees Celsius. Stir thoroughly for uniform color and dispersion.

Option 3: Emulsions, Lotions & Creams

Add at 0.05-0.2% to the oil phase of oil-in-water emulsions, keeping the base cool during addition. Blend gradually to distribute the color evenly and maintain a smooth texture.

Option 4: To Add to a Finished Base

To add Astaxanthin Oleoresin 10% to a finished cosmetic product, pre-mix the measured oleoresin into a small amount of carrier oil for even dispersion, since it is oil-soluble, then stir it into an oil-rich base such as a facial oil, balm, or emulsion at a low use level of roughly 0.05% to 0.5%. Keep the base below 40 degrees Celsius when adding to preserve the ingredient. Because it is a deep red-orange colorant, incorporate it slowly while mixing so the tint develops evenly throughout the base. After incorporating, confirm the product remains homogeneous and evenly colored, noting that higher levels can impart a strong hue.
