Intended Use

Option 1: Basic Formulation Incorporation

1. Calculate the desired AHA concentration for your finished product based on the target pH and product type.
2. Add the AHA liquid blend to the water phase of your formulation during the cool-down stage, stirring gently to incorporate evenly.
3. Test the pH of your finished batch and adjust as needed — the five-acid blend (glycolic, lactic, citric, tartaric, and malic) will lower pH, so plan accordingly.
4. Perform a stability check on the completed formulation before packaging.

Option 2: Exfoliating Toner or Serum Development

1. Prepare your aqueous base (water, aloe, glycerin, or other humectants) and bring to the appropriate formulation temperature.
2. Incorporate the AHA liquid blend at your target usage rate during the cool-down phase, blending slowly to maintain a uniform dispersion throughout the formula.
3. Adjust pH to the desired range for a leave-on exfoliating product and add preservation and any additional botanicals or functional ingredients.

Option 3: Rinse-Off Peel or Mask Formulation

2. Add the pre-blended AHA liquid during the cool-down phase at a usage rate appropriate for a rinse-off format, mixing thoroughly to ensure even distribution of all five acids.
3. Check final pH and adjust to the target level for a cosmetic peel or exfoliating mask application.
