Milky Facial Cleanser Recipe

What You’ll Need

Mixing Equipment

• Heat-safe glass bowls or beakers
• Stainless steel utensils (spoons, spatulas)
• Stick blender or hand mixer

Heating Equipment

• Double boiler or two pots for a DIY double boiler
• Stainless steel pot
• Thermometer (to monitor temperatures during heating)

Measuring Equipment

• Digital scale (for accurate measurement of ingredients)
• PH strips (for pH reading)

Sanitization Supplies

• Isopropyl alcohol (for sanitizing tools and containers)
• Paper towels or clean cloths

Storage Containers

• Clean, airtight containers (e.g., jars, bottles)

Ingredients

Orange Blossom Water (Neroli Distillate): 334.29g

Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate Granules: 34.20g

PEG-12 Dimethicone: 22.98g

Kalahari Melon Seed Oil: 21.70g

Glyceryl Monostearate: 20.89g

Cetearyl Alcohol, Ceteareth-20: 5.11g

Honeysuckle Flower Extract: 8.36g

Honeysuckle Natural Fragrance Oil: 2.01g

Dehydroacetic Acid, Benzyl Alcohol, Water: 3.25g

Glucono Delta Lactone Powder: 0.86g

Directions

1. Heat the Orange Blossom Water to 70-75°C (158-167°F).

• Stir in the Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate until it's completely dissolved.

2. In a separate container, combine all the other ingredients.

• Heat this mixture to 70-75°C (158-167°F) until everything is melted and smooth.

3. While continuously stirring the Orange Blossom Water mixture, slowly pour in the melted ingredients.

• Keep mixing until everything is fully blended and starts to cool and thicken.

4. When the mixture has cooled to around 40°C (104°F), add the remaining ingredients.

• Stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined.

Final Touches:

• Let the product cool to room temperature.
• Check the pH once it’s cooled and again 48 hours later.
• Adjust the pH to between 4 and 5 if needed.
• Pour the finished cleanser into clean, airtight containers.

How To Use

As a no-rinse cleanse:

1. Spray: Gently spritz the cleanser directly onto your skin.
2. Wipe: Use a soft cotton pad or towel to wipe away sweat and impurities.

As a full cleanser:

1. Spray: Spray onto your skin.
2. Massage: Gently massage the cleanser with your fingertips.
3. Rinse: Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water, then pat dry with a towel.

Note: Avoid contact with mucous membranes. For external use only.
